Heart of Artifice Temporary--Kharas Alone

"The Queen of Brillia died, so the three rulers are from Spiras, Esperal, and Fantasia. Without their Queen, Brillia has become a religious kingdom that follows the way of the Artifex Maximus," Zenobia and Elysia do the quick devotion again.

(OOC: Does he do the devotion a second time after he says the name Artifex Maximus as well? If not, the girls do it again to cover for him  )

"Yes it is. A simple sign of devotion to show respect. People hope that their wishes will be granted."

"Yep! Sometimes when people who're really faithful go pray at the special altar in the Grand Chapel, their wish is answered by the Artifex Maximus, blessed be the holy one," she does the devotion.

OOC: Not having the habit of it, and as he think that holy man is no more than another member of House Cannith, he doesn't think he should deserve teh respect of a god, only teh respect of a powerfull and creative man (which, in Kharas eye, is a lot of respect)

"Well, I'll go pray him if I cannot find these kids by my own mean and with teh help of teh Baron. But I have always thought praying should be use at a last resort, as dwarves, like humans, can do a lot more by themselves they generally thinks."

"When hope, dreams, and prayer combine with inspiration, ingenuity, and hard work, we can create a perfect world for ourselves and those we love. That is our nation's motto, actually. Does yours have one?" Zenobia asks.

"A motto... nothing like that I fear. We have been in war for too many years. Against the outside world, but also among our clans. If there is three words that would sound too familiar to a dwarf, ti is profits, mining, and war. You don't build a peaceful world like this one with such idea driving a society." Kharas takes a moment to think. "Opening a permanent portal between our world it not necesserly the best idea. It might bring you great things, but I fear the Thelanium will briing to much lust among the population of Khorvaire. You might think of it before establishing formal link between the two worlds."

"Well, we do have ways to defend ourselves," the Baron assures him, "Though we are at peace with other lands, there are occasional violences caused by Rogue Sparks or Unforged and other nasty creatures that rise from the Great Scrap Heap Below..."

*Elysia shivers at this.*

"I'm sure you saw the energy cannons built into the side of the castle--they aren't just for show."

"Still, I thank you for the advice. I assure you that if there isn't already such a rift open and we have to built our own interdimensional transportation device, I will make sure that it is controllable and closable on our end instead of always open."

"It would be a good thing. but if you can build something, one of teh house will probably be able to create it too, probably in more time. Just keep that in mind. Not all people are good willed in my world. I could easily speak of a few of them."

"Well, thank you for the warning, but I'm not so sure of it. If your world doesn't have Thelanium, I'm not entirely sure what differences there would be in total in the level of magitechnology, but I would guess that it is nonzero. You don't have people like the ones here, right?"

"However, you have come from your own world to ours, so it seems that there already exists a possibility of such a conduit. Others could use it just as you did, I think. Do you think that is what your children did as well?"

"Yes, I think. And I think if teh Mark of Making is here, it is because others have come here too. I don't like much coincidence, and that one is too big." explain Kharas. "And even if we don't have Thelanium, you have some, and someone will somehow, get some one day and bring it back to my world... I must tell we have a small amount actually, in the hand of an artificer and he want to publicate that discovery."
