D&D 5E (IC) Fitz's Folly

FitzTheRuke

Legend
As Dellrak turned to go, a breeze blew through the jungle. Breezes were common, but normally they were at least as hot as the still air. This breeze prickled his skin. It was cold, very cold. For a moment, he thought it felt nice. Comforting and cooling. But then he realized how absolutely unnatural it was. Specks of white blew with the breeze and settled on various surfaces - immediately turning into drops of water which ran to join the drops that were already there from the (currently) light rain.

The naked blade brought Chrysagon's focus back. Immediately, the flail head dropped and, scanning the tree line, he used is Divine Senses to feel the presence of Undead.

OOC: I know it's not how Divine Sense works... but hit's so useless otherwise. So maybe Fitz wants to rule it like that.

"Wha? In Auril's white blouse was that?!" the dwarf exclaims. "Fey magic, fir sure."

He hefts his axe in both hands and scans the tree line. "Pixies play'n pranks."

OOC: I have no ideal what this is. And Dellrak will go through a whole litany of wrong ideals, lol.
No one here has detect magic, correct?

OOC: No detect magic for Miss Imogen

Miss Imogen sees the water chill and condense into white frost on her leather gloves, and crack away when she works her knuckles, opening and closing her fingers.

She knocks an arrow, and suddenly feels a wave of calm course through her. She has this. Whatever it is, she is ready.

Qawasha shook his head. "I do not know what this is. I have never seen anything like it."

Weed moved forward and put up a hand. A white speck settled on his leaf-like palm and he peered at it curiously. He showed it to Dellrack who saw the star-shaped form for a brief moment before it melted. It was snow.

"I have a bad feeling about this..."

Chrysagon, bracing himself, prays the God of Death, asking for his Bless.

"And when the night is dark, when I see no light,
You are by my side, guiding my sight."

Then yelling to their hypothetical adversary,
"Comme on! Get on with it!"

OOC: Bless on Chrysagon, Harb and Rodrigo.

Rodrigo nodded to the others grimly... perhaps the source of the snow was harmless. Perhaps. But...

He started moving forward slowly and silently, trying to follow the chill wind to its source. He used his main gauche to push vines out of the way, his rapier held in a low guard, ready to spring up. He knew that Brother Chrysagon would be heard but... no harm in setting up a flank?

stealth in the chill wind: 1D20+5 = [2]+5 = 7

A small animal burst out in front of him with a squeal. So much about stealth.

Legend
Rodrigo shoved his way through the jungle with a curious Weed following behind him. A little bird-lizard hopped across his path and into the underbrush. Cold air struck his face, cooling the sweat from only moments before. He came to an astonishing sight: A small clearing was covered in snow in a tick layer and it blew about on cold breezes, seemingly coming from nowhere in the sky above. A large beast with enormous teeth stood in the clearing - but it was frozen solid in ice, and definitely dead.

What was stranger still, was that two little fey creatures not more than a handspan in height, were dancing in the snow in front of the beast, leaving little zig-zag tracks.
