D&D 5E (IC) Vault of the Dracolich (Ensemble)

Dunmire smiles that he didn't just get himself hurt with his admission, "You got it, Boss." and he follows SnorLoska toward the boats.

Eko is nervous about being sent out again, but does as he's bidden. He notices two things as he flies across the Hydra's pool: To the north, in the lower lake, something man-sized is swimming across the lake, just at the surface. To the east, the man-made corridor (which starts twenty-feet up from the shore of the hydra pool, on a ledge) has a newly-lit light source that dimly illuminates the ledge. It's not obvious from down where the party is, but clear to the bat as he flutters toward it.

Imani's voice comes clear across two sending stones, "The idol was most likely warded... I fear that the dragon stirs - but do not overly fret! It is highly unlikely that the dragon will chose to face you himself. No, like a cat or a spoiled prince, he will send his minions. Be on your guard!"

Udit nodded grimly - of course the dragon was awakening. Just his luck. Well, hopefully the dragon was cheap and didn't hire skilled minions....

"Uh... any clue where the other idols are? And how are the others doing?" he replied into the stone.

SnorLoska stops in his tracks as he hears Omani's voice coming out from the sending stones. Warded? It sure was warded, he mutters. We definitely felt the wards. A bit louder, without too much sarcasm in his voice, he says to Omani: Thanks for the warning! Anything else you would like to share with us at this point of time?

"Caution is called for then, as we continue the mission. As well as in acquiring future idols." Mord contemplates, holding his sending stone. "How fares the other group?"

Squirrels are evil!

GM: Rather than me copying all of the dialogue back and forth between threads, let's have Sesto (now that he is awake) reply here (it is Ensemble after all) for the Dispensables. Prickly Pear is already here, after all.) (Bob and Pyrus could comment too, I suppose, if they like).

At SnorLoska's comment, Imani replies crossly "I can't possibly tell you what is warded and what isn't. I suggest you assume everything is until you discover otherwise!"

He then replies more civilly to Udit, "I wish I could locate the Idols remotely, but this is why I sent you fine fellows. You must locate them and use them to pierce the defenses of the inner vault to retrieve the Diamond Staff. The othets have one, so we have two of the four! You have done very well! I thank you all, and I am very pleased with your progress. Continue in this way, with Tymora's blessing!"

The invigorating use of her psychic abilities having opened her third eye, Aquaria spots a lone lizard-man, scrawny and weak, swimming toward the group from the darkness of the lower lake.

(Eko the bat had already seen it, but couldn't make out what it was, so Lorenn knows something is there. Everyone else is oblivious, gathering gear and speaking through the two stones).
