*With the 8th, 9th and 10th senses still eluding me it must be said. :o
'Tis a shame, they sound hardcore.
Though these would be the hardest to create because they are essentially Meta-game powers.
Perhaps the higher senses give you more offensive minded-powers. Like penalizing foes' actions.
Other ideas:
- Always gain a surprise round/foes allways considered flat footed.
- Avoid or Foil X # of attacks automatically each round/combat/day?
- Roll all dice first, then decide after seeing the total if you want to take the action that round. This could work for 10th sense. (So if you innitially wanted to attack Bob, and roll a 2, you may think that woun't hit Bob, so you decide to blast him with Atomic Breath. Seeing that Bob rolls a 4, you are sure he fails his save and decide that is what you do that round.)

Otherwise, I'm clueless. :)

I still think Tenth Sense is just fine as is. It's inventive and funny, a nice treat for someone reaching the end of the document, and nicely blurs the line between the DM and the player as should happen at that level of power. It may or may not be balanced, but there's no man alive who can extend the system that far while maintaining rigorous balance.

I have nothing to contribute regarding the other two.

Hi, UK.
re: the Senses... suppose:

Sixth Sense - Can't be surprised (i.e. preview the next action).
Seventh Sense - Preview* the next round.
Eighth Sense - Preview the next encounter.
Ninth Sense - Preview the next day.
Tenth Sense - Preview the next campaign.

*Preview - perform all actions and decide if you want them to actually occur. If not, the sighted entity must take a different set of actions in order for these powers to have any effect. Entities who act before the sighted entity's initiative must perform the same actions they took previously.

That would take about 4 hours to rename. :D

What... what program are you using that requires four hours to rename a few words?

ALT+H, Find/Replace. ALT+F to Find the new name and change the number. 4 minutes, TOPS.

Also, what amount of update are we looking towards tonight?
Are portfolio's still a nightmare?
Nothing on the deity builds, I suppose?

And anything new regarding the missing pages between p13 and p20?

#I'd guess what UK means is that he'd have to rename it, move it into position in alphabetical order, and then adjust the numbering manually to suit

Which could still be averted using certain programs, but it would still be slow to set up in the first place if he hasn't done so already so little time would be saved.

Hey guys! :)

I just updated. I'll respond to the questions tomorrow.

I also know there are some people waiting for me to send it to them, I'll sort those people out in an hours time, I really need to take a break - my back is killing me.

I am sure there are likely to be a few things I have missed with regards Chapter 4, but it must be less than ten things (including the 'Sense' powers).

Some comments on the recent updates:

Portfolio Comments:
* Do you plan to fill out all the new domains you list? I can understand the possibility of balancing some of the portfolios by not having a domain spell at every level... the Charity domain in particular!
* Some of the methods to get an additional divine bonus to everything are really easy. I mean... having an ally near for community? For an adventuring deity, that would basically be "Always". The issue, to me, seems to be a case of whether the extra bonus is applied based on DM whim, or player whim. DM whim (extra bonus against X type of creature/attack) seems valid to me, but player whim (extra bonus when the player does something) seems rather unbalanced to me.
* Many of the double portfolio listings are copy/pastes of Chaos, or have copy/paste artifacts still left over. Would you like us to list them for quick reference for you?
* Charity: For the Elder One ability... wouldn't be that you can't be harmed by those who HAVE donated 25%? And why not make it 10%... a tithe, after all.

-------

Nosodic: This is definitely a step in the right direction... perhaps add a note saying that reducing your charisma to below three makes you unable to make desicions on your own, and that a charisma of 0 makes you catatonic. To be interesting, perhaps you could also make it so that if a disease would normally increase a stat, it decreases it instead (removing festering anger cheese).

The flavor also makes more sense. It isn't that the disease makes you uglier, but rather that you're sapping your personality in order to force the disease to work for you instead of against you.

Even so though, I'm rather concerned that this is a mere epic feat, as it could potentially increase your stats far beyond what a divine ability can offer. Even if there is the penalty, remember that in D&D, specialization is KEY. This ability basically allows you to add to any stat (assuming you find the right disease, or wish/epic spell one into creation) by lowering charisma.

-------

Noticed something odd. The footnote for the Divine Barbarian II feat package is on the next page.

-------

The Orichalcum Body ability lists itself as a prerequisit on the table on page 157.
