Is this damage a result of some weakness by the skeletons that they catch on fire? Because there's nothing in the description of Wall of Fire that they take extra damage. They take the damage on my turn or if they walk through the wall itself.Brooding Skeletons - DC 15 Reflex saves to keep from catching on fire: 1D20+7 = [6]+7 = 13 (failed)
1D20+7 = [9]+7 = 16 (saved)
Additional burning damage: 1D6 = [6] = 6
The skeleton that didn't save is toast.
It's the rules for catching on fire under Heat Dangers in the DMG, p. 303-304. It's specific to spells that inflict non-instantaneous magic fire damage. The text notes Wall of Fire as an example. Is this damage a result of some weakness by the skeletons that they catch on fire? Because there's nothing in the description of Wall of Fire that they take extra damage. They take the damage on my turn or if they walk through the wall itself.
Just asking in case we're making the spell more powerful than it should be or if I've misread it.
