And, where was this great weapon on Mars during the Xindi attack?

maybe it can't be used against randomly mobile targets (ships can veer away?), the moon while actually moving incredibley fast is probably a lot easier to hit than a large starship.

I hope Archer simply puts a photon down on the array w/o any warning to remove Terra Prime's teeth. I repeat no warning, other wise drama will ensue ... and I want military action, quick and decisive military action even!

Well, he threatened to use it against any ship that came close.

Of course, if I start demanding continuity on Star Trek, I think I'd be a very depressed person. :)

It's a pretty good episode, and also follows well in Trek's tradition of doing stories that take on contemporary issues. This episode sort of conflated several such issues at the same time.

Paxton is a nut. Colonel Green "misunderstood'? He said he was one of several misunderstood historical figures. I bet Paxton would include Hitler in that number as well. A shame he studied history, but apparently never learned from it.

The episode was OK.

I just can't get into the Mayweather character. I mean, if he were to be killed off one week, I'd be like, "oh, well". Nothing compelling about him, IMO.

Hey, at least he got something to do this episode. And probably next week as well, with this ex girlfrend apparently involved in Terra Prime.

The same place all Trek technology is: only around when actually needed for a single episode's plot and then never seen again.

Yeah, it was kind of jarring to see the Mayor from "Buffy" suddenly helping to set up the Federation. He's one of those "typecast forever in my brain" types.

As someone who's never seen Buffy, it didn't really seem jarring to me.
