Watching Jain punch the wall made Shalimar wince in sympathy. Even from half an ally away she could tell that it hurt.

I was definitely too hard on him, I need to apologize to him, and to everyone else. I have been acting intolerably. Its ust that I am woried about home.

As he is going past her she calls out to Jain just loud enough for him to hear. "Jain, I am so sorry. I was worried, but thats no excuse to treat you and the others as I have. I promise, I will be better from now on." She looks down the alley again.

"Jain, I promise to believe you, if you say there is a person watching us I believe you. I shoud have believed you to start with, you are not one to make stories. I am sorry."

He has to know how hard it is for me to apologize. I have never apologized before.

She stands were she has stood the entire time, trying to will Jain to accept her apology.
[ooc: Don't do it, Jain! But then again, Jain is so weak willed, he'll do anything Shalimar asks.]

Jain Hadlin, trying to work it out

Well, ther's a bloody surprise. I didn't think I'd live to see the day.....

"Look, Shalimar there are some things you need to understand. First off, your worried, well I can understand that, ever since I ran into you in Aringill, I have done nothing but worry!Worry about you forgiving my rudeness there and now here, worry that something happened to your family back in Shienar, worry about the people of Caemlyn, worry about how you would react to what happened in Cairhien, worry about my new friends and thier tendancy to run into bad situations. As though that weren't enough, now I have to worry about inadvertantly offending, you, Tomas, and Sersei. I even, once in great while, after all those other things, get worry about whats going to become of me. You are my friend, some of my best memories are of the time spent with you and your family, but it gets harder and harder to deal with you. Do you have any idea what it was like when you hit me, do you. Do you know how hard it is to do nothing, for anyone else i'm not sure it'd be worth it. I'm sorry if I'm being selfish, and if it's blinded me to what ever, pain or worry is cuasing you to behave like you have been, I'm soory for that too. I just don't see why you won't just talk to me if some thing is bothering you."

Jains face is beet red, and his wisper is close to being a snarl. he's practically shacking with anger and frustration.

"Do I forgive you? .........Yes, you don't make it easy, but yes I will forgive you."

Jain backs up Straitens up and takes a big breath, calming himself.
He then turns and heads back into the ally drawing his daggers as he goes.

"You're ablsolutly right, Ashrem, I'm sorry. It's just hard sometimes..."

ooc: Don't do it, Jain! But then again, Jain is so weak willed, he'll do anything Shalimar asks.]

[OOC: sometimes it takes more effort to forgive some one than to hate them, Jain and Shalimar have a history together and he's doing every thing he can to keep from ruining that, dispite her short fuse.]

Shalimar murmurs I am sorry one last time, mostly to herself, and follows Jain back to the alley and remains silent with her ees on the ground, not really beliving anybody is really there, but acting as if she believed Jain simply because she said she would.

He is right we need to talk, and not just whispers in an ally. When we return tonight we will speak. I promise. I suppouse that I had at least better act more like I believe him.

She begins to scan the houses, looking all over, the roofs, the doors, everywhere.

I hope this makes him believe I am sorry, I wouldn't put up with this foolishness for anyone else

Yuri Morotakai

Interesting, I don't think I've ever heard that woman apoligize to anyone before. Though from what Tasha told me about some of the pranks they pulled, I'm sure they've had to apoligize to Sheriam Sedai on occasion. Bloody women! They think they know best due to some supposed maturity. Then they put a fish in a Sister's bed...

Yuri sighs.

"If we're going to find him, I think it'd be easier if Ashrem just starting asking people about the man. Maybe he lives nearby and someone will recognize the description; he's surely safely tucked away by now."

Ashrem nodded to everyone and quietly tried the door. One hand on the door, the other gripped his sword hilt.

[OOC: Locked? Are we at the end of the alley? Any sign of recent passage?]

You're at the end of the alley, but Ashrem can't tell if anyone's been here recently or not <rolled a 4 on the Search check>.

Pedron doesn't hear anything behind either door, both of which are locked.

Light, nothing to go on at all. Pedron also does a quick sweep to see if it looks like anyone has just been through either door. He also checks out the locks, to see how difficult they would be to pick.

Shalimar watches in silence as the boys discover the doors are locked. She rolls her eyes and gives Sirsei an I told you so look.

"I believe we have done all we can here, the doors are locked. As you have found out. The person who was watching you has most likely left the area. He certainly has had the time to do so, for which I am so..., for which I am regretful. We should probably move on as well."

She looks expectantly at Jain wanting him to agree with her.

They seem pretty average locks. <Which means they're DC 25; you can open them by taking 20 or being lucky, but no one else in the party has any chance of doing so.>

Pedron can't tell if anybody has been through the doors in the last few minutes (though it seems likely that someone has, unless Ashrem was seeing things).
