City Guard
No longer called the Watch, this force is supplemented by a much smaller group of tight-lipped and discreet investigators called the
Wise Eyes.
Saerloon's City Guard wear brand new uniforms and wield much better weapons than their predecessors, those weapons recently forged. Ed Greenwood described the City Guard uniform as "dark purple with red piping and silver back-and-breastplates, helms, greaves, and bracers."

An individual is styled Lord Governor regardless of gender.

The Sarcrescent
Saerloon's government, the Sarcrescent, is a council of merchants. Its membership totals twelve, though four seats have yet to be filled and two have been vacated due to murder. Of the six empty seats, there are plans to fill three of them by 1500 DR, and the remaining three soon after.
A member of the Sarcrescent is styled Lady/Lord and is referred to as a
Crescent Councilor.
The Crescent Councilor who is spokesperson for the Sarcrescent is called the
Lady/Lord Voice.
