Sure enough, the arrow hits, deals (21?) damage, and the creature takes another reaction to move 20 feet closer leaving a trail of blood and oil in it's wake.

"Ye only live once!" Koregar said as he jumped from behind the door, brandishing his battleaxe. "Gerta, I'm comin', Darlin!"

He attacked the thing with his battleaxe, surging divine power into his blow (Divine Smite, if it hits)

OOC: Battleaxe Attack: [roll0] If it hits: [roll1] then add Divine Smite: [roll2] If undead or Fiend, add an additional: [roll3]

The battle axe strikes true and lights a holy pain in the monster. The abomination looks down at the dwarf as its internals leak out all around it. It silently judges the creature. It pulls back its shovel with both hands looking to bring it down like a blunt crushing hammer... and completely misses as Koregar sidesteps the choreographed attack.

Whisper put another arrow to string and let fly. She then scampered to the open doorway to the east and hid, in the event the creature had some kind of ranged attack.

OOC: Action: Attack - [roll0], Damage - [roll1] + SA [roll2] Movement - Move as far as she can get to the lower right corner of the room Bonus Action: Hide - [roll3]

Naeris draws a deep breath,pleased the creature remained in place, as he sets an arrow, he takes slightly longer than usual measuring his shot carefully as the dark streak crackles clean over the creatures head to the lantern.
