I was waiting for someone to notice the red spots. Yes, those are niches. At the moment the Stonefaces appear to be immune to all damage.

Anyway, Udit believes (and so does I) that the alcoves will weaken/dispel the shields. We just have to endure the attacks while we figure out which idol goes where.

I would save the dispel magic for bad spells that are affecting a player. I *think* it won't be sufficient vs the shields.

I think perhaps some people are waiting for the answer to the question about what can we see about the alcove? I mean maybe Udit is on a complete dead end, but even knowing that would be useful?

I'm not sure what you mean. The people we're waiting for aren't even in the room, so how could they see anything about any alcoves?

Or to answer in another way: Sure, the alcoves are important. You are quite possibly on the right track. You may want to go check 'em out. They are currently not close to anyone.

I'd have moved things along today, but I still can't post pictures. I'm pretty sure people will want a map. I'll keep trying to figure out what's going on. The little upload box just sits there uploading and never ever finishes.

He can see that the alcove across the rift is there, but I don't think he could tell anything in particular about it.

I don't think anyone has yet been within line-of-sight of the other one.

A bit of both. It just looks like a little niche carved into the wall from here. Looks like an Idol belongs in it, sure. That's about it. If I thought there was something you could know while things are where they are at, I'd have told you.
