Grimlow looks hesitantly back and forth before answering, "Well, good sir, if I may call you that, Darok ought to be in his office upstairs... assuming he hasn't already fled. The fighting did cause quite a bluster."
GM: And I will add a GM's note here that Lia and Petron have been able to keep an eye on the front door the entire time. No one has entered or left since the battle with the tieflings ended, although you did hear scuffling of people fleeing the foyer when you first engaged the guards in the main office.

Erik

Eric uses his magic to whisper one by one into his companion's ears from a distance:
"The woman with the auburn her and fair skin isn't a clerk, like the others."

Initially Krawlinstar don't realize from where this whisper came from, but taking a quick look at the others,he sees Erik using one of his magics.Searching with his eyes the woman Erik described, after a few seconds Krawlinstar is able to find her among the others.he points his finger in the woman's direction and talks:

You there! come closer.you don't look like a clerk to me.what are you doing here?reveal yourself now!

Petron has already walked over the woman when the cleric spoke up. "Move out'o da way!" he says to the clerks as he secures the woman from the hands. "Come with me m'lady, don't ye dare resist." Petron drags the woman next to Erik. "Is she a witch or somethin'?"
Petron has always been weary of magic users, and trust Erik on that matter. He's always concerned and afraid at some level of witches. He thinks that if he lets them, they'll transform them into a toad, so he always takes the iniciative.

GM: Begin the skill challenge. The objective of this skill challenge is to get the woman to tell you what she knows. Primary skills are Bluff, Intimidate, and Insight. These skills can be used to coerce her to tell you tidbits of information and notice signs she is lying. Secondary skills are Diplomacy, History, and Perception. These can be used to aid another player's check or be made as checks in their own right at a harder DC. I may allow other skills once you have made progress or if you can justify it sufficiently.
The woman is snatched out of the crowd and immediately becomes the center of attention. She doesn't resist Petron pulling her away, but she does seem particularly tight-lipped and isn't about to say anything.

Very well woman, like i said before you don't look like a clerk. you don't need to be afraid of me or any of my friends, but if you try anything funny here, you might get yourself in trouble. what's your purpose here?

Krawlinstar says,as he tries to feel the motivations and intentions of this mysterious woman.

"Ye speak for yerself there cleric. If this is a witch, I won't let her walk away with both hands." Petron jerks the woman down with a mighty pull. "So you better tell us what we want, unless ye want to learn how to eat with yer feet!" Petron jerks her towards the right, and takes his free hand to the hilt of his sword.

Lia doesn't really want to look away from the door; the others likely have the matter well in hand. But she should have noticed the woman to begin with, at least she thought, and she wanted to make sure there were no other clues she'd missed in the appearance of the room and the people in it.[sblock=ooc]Perception check[/sblock]

The woman doesn't say anything, but Krawlinstar does discern from the shame on her face and the nervousness she displays that this woman is up to no good (1 success).

"So you better tell us what we want, unless ye want to learn how to eat with yer feet!" Petron jerks her towards the right, and takes his free hand to the hilt of his sword.
The woman wails at Petron's threats and cries out, "Please, don't hurt me! They made me do it. I didn't want them to hurt my family and they said they'd kill them if I didn't do as they said." (2 successes)

Lia recalls exactly where the woman was sitting and notices something odd about her desk. It's been modified. On careful inspection (either Lia can do this or she can direct someone else), you discover the desk has a false bottom which conceals the trappings of forgery. Several official seals, sealing wax, a magnifying glass and blank samples of numerous official documents can be found there. (3 successes)
GM: I'll note that because of Krawlinstar's successful Insight check, he recognizes the woman is telling the truth, at least most of it. Her finer clothes indicate that she has probably been receiving a bribe on top of everything else.

Also, the Intimidate check, while successful, has made the woman hysterical. A Diplomacy check can now be made as a primary skill to calm her down and persuade her you will protect her family. Bluff could be used to do the same if you have no intentions of protecting her family.

Erik is up.
