2.) A young Lordling and his loyal band of adventuring comrads have come to his dying father's side. Unfortunatly, not only is dear old dad, about to become dear old deacased dad, the adventurers arrived not even a full day in advance of a horde of orcs who intend to take the land when the lord dies. The PCs must hold the castle until help arrives. That's of course assuming the messanger got through. What do you mean you didn't send a messenger? I do hope you have something clever up your sleeves. D&D, core only, no psionics.

In either case, players would be level 6th, and I would make pre-gens. If there is a character concept that you are particularly keen to try, then by all means let me know and I'll do my best to accomidate you. Otherwise, you take what I hand you.
Yami - these sound great, and I like #2.

Have you run either of these adventures before? How much prep do you need to do before running either one?

I ask because sign-ups have been slow for the Game Day. I wouldn't want you to put hours into preparing, and we only get enough people in the afternoon for one adventure. If you either have a complete adventure in the bag, or love working for hours on an adventure with the possibility it won't get played, then please be ready as our second GM for the afternoon!

I was about to rsvp that I want to play in the green dragon hunt, probably a bard, possibly multiclassed, maybe partly a prestige class - but then I noticed I have another game that afternoon/evening. Maybe next time. I found this via a post in the DFW Gamers Yahoo group, so if there's another game announced there later, I may try to catch it. I live in SE Dallas just W of Mesquite so the closer the better but if I didn't already have a game I'd go to Bedford for this one.

Anyway, have a good one. :)

Wait - what? You're not going to game because you're... going to game? Where's the logic in that? Tell everyone your group to join us. Come play in games you don't have to prepare, from 11 to 8, and then go to your friends' house to game after that. More gaming than you can shake a stick at - and that's a lot.

Good to hear!

We had interest from folks in Houston and Austin, but I haven't seen any of them chime in. If you guys are lurking, could you give us a peep to let us know if you're coming? Thanks!

Seven days and counting....

I've got some pregens printed up. 4, I think. I figure most people are bringing their own, so that should be fine.

I need to do a miniature headcount. I may need to paint another one. Hmm. I'll have to gather up all the minis I need.

Otherwise, I'm good to go. Oh, I still need to print the module. :heh:
