Ugh...I suppose this should be called "Holy crap I missed the boat-CON!" I'm away from the boards for a couple of days....Man, thank god I'm married or I'd really feel like a loser. Seriously, though, drop me a line if somebody bails.

I think there's still space in Umbran's Godlike game! I was just thinking of you today. Heck, you work about two blocks from my house. :)

I'm running monthly d20 games at Pandemonium in Harvard Square, incidentally; this month was Spycraft, next month is Call of Cthulhu, and I have MnM and d20 Modern coming up. If you want advance of warning of them, give me a holler.

Chronosome! Where have you been, mate? I miss Bill Door (I think that was his name).

Heya, LS! :)

I took some time off from the game and the boards...was dealing with some nervous issues...feeling better again, and here I am! :)

Bill's off with his old buddy Whino touring the Lost Dimensions...I'm sure he'll pop in from time to time with his "laptop" computer. :D

So, western gunslinger type, urban street kid, or pinkertonesque PD?

I am torn at the moment.

My first choice, which should be fairly obvious one at that, would be James T. West. Circa 1896 he'd be on... oh, his third retirement or so. (But like Michael Jordan, you can't keep a good man out of his game.)

On the other hand I am leaning strongly in a totally different direction: Edgar Cayce, a talented psychic born in my own hometown of Hopkinsville, KY, where I grew up. Unlike the others, however, he's a real person, not a fictional character, so... not sure.

I probably won't make a decision until I stat out all of the other characters and see what talents are lacking. I don't want West and Quartermain stepping all over each other, for example.

But if you have a preference, Joe, let me know.

Wulf, will you run this game again for us at some point? I really want to play. Sigh. Too many games, and no clones!

We will be using quite a few house rules, but have no fear, it's all d20.

Below are the characters available, first come, first serve:

5) MISS MINA MURRAY (Dedicated Hero)

I would prefer to reserve Mina for a female player. If I have more people sign up, I will scrounge up a couple of extra characters-- perhaps an American gentleman or two from the 1890's.

Wow, I was off the board yesterday and almost missed this one! My wife Kris would LOVE to play Miss Mina Murray in the League game. I'm sure that Piratecat will be willing vouch for her as being an excellent role player. She was also a theater major, and even played Mina in a production of Dracula before. I have 5 of the 6 issues of the 1st League series, and will pick up League series 2 today (didn't know it was out).

P-Cat, can you work me in somewhere? If not, I'd also be willing to GM a 4th game if necessary. At present the only thing I've currently got prep'ed is my Boot Hill/AD&D hybrid (one game of which is posted under Story Hour as the thread "Promise City, Arizona).

She'd be great as Mina!

Jon, I think that there is space in Umbran's Godlike game. Godlike is a very cool game of superheroes in WW2 - fairly dark, fairly gritty, and all good. Mike Mearls, who is coming, wrote the d20 conversion rules. Good stuff.

Great! Sign me up for Godlike! I'll check with my upstairs tenant, as he has copies of the rules for most superhero based games (he manages a comic book store). Always loved the WWII superhoroes, with a near complete collection of All-Star Squadron comics.

Do we have a date and time yet for the game? (have to schedule a baby sitter).

Done.

And done.

Yes, but will he vouch for her as a two-fisted pulp action hero? :)

Don't worry about League II, I haven't even picked that up myself yet. Vol. I, 1-5 should be plenty of source material to get Kris in the right frame of mind.

Please express my condolences to Miss Murray regarding that unfortunate business with the foreigner. But we will say no more about that.

Let me just say, I am feeling very lucky for having found such an excellent candidate for Mina. She really adds an indispensible dynamic to the group.

The whole table will be the better for it!

I don't suppose I can convince everyone to bring one prop each? A scarf for Mina, some glasses for Griffin, a top hat for Edw-- err, for Henry, etc.

GREAT! Thanks Wulf and Piratecat. We're both really looking forward to this. We were active with the gaming crowd from 1990 to 1998, and were the RPGA coordinators for several local cons, but after our 3rd child was born we found it impossible to get away for an entire weekend. P-cat first told me about ENWorld a few months back, and I have really enjoyed this forum. It will be nice to be back around some role players other than the weekly gaming group at our house. :)
