Merin recovers from the miss instantly, smiling as he sees that Tor's arrow connected...has had an epiphany. He turns toward Sheldon and says,

"Blessings on you, my brother."


And at that moment, Sheldon feels Way contact his mind, obviously sourced from Merin.
Sheldon can feel Merin link with him even though the are a few paces apart. He gets a renewed look of determination on his face.
The world has no place for a vindictive parasite like you.

Tor simply says, "May you learn quickly, in the next life, the lessons you failed to learn in this one, witch."

Sannit looks over to make sure the fires are out and grinds out one blackened stub with his foot. He looks around to make sure there are no more threats.

Bolo pets Turtle to soothe him and then helps him rise to group up and heal from the fire damage.

Turtle obeys.

Day 24: Moving North

With the threat and the cause of the maddening disease eliminated, the Seekers take the time to tend to their wounds. Once everyone is restored, they move back northward, hoping to locate a lode of copper. A lunch break is taken at the very same fresh water supply used for last night's camp.

The rocky terrain of rough scrub remains the same as the party continues on until late afternoon. Finding another tiny rivulet, the fresh water supply is restocked, and it is decided the place makes a suitable site for camp.

OOC: Sheldon and Indigo elect to look for fresh game and medicinal plants.

GM: Any other desired tasks before night?

Bolo and Turtle will also look for food and helpful plants, coordinating with the group so that they don't search the same spots over again.

Merin and Tor both decide to check for iron ore and copper.
GM: Searching for copper produces the same results as Sannit's effort and 10 ingots worth are collected.

Day 25: Searching for Copper

OOC: The hunters returning with fresh game was a welcome sight. The hunters are, in turned, pleased with the new found copper. The evening is pleasant and the night is uneventful. The morning brings a light mist, but nothing worth noting, and the party is quickly underway.

GM: Only normal insects, birds, reptiles, and spiders are seen by midday, nothing larger than a hand.

Continuing on, by late afternoon, Sheldon conveys -
I feel fairly certain that we should be in the area indicated by the Maldrog where the copper vein can be located. I think we should make camp here and search radially.
OOC: A cursory view shows the land to be unchanged during the day, being rocky scrub. This particular location is bordered north and south by tiny rivulets of the main stream that leads to Southroad Fair.

After setting up camp, we will leave Aust & Revan in camp to guard it.

Then, Merin suggests that Sheldon & Indigo head North, San-Bolo to the South, and Merin will head East, and Tor will head West.

That way, we are searching an expanding radius simultaneously.

Do the others concur?
