D&D 5E Xanathar's Guide to Everything: What subclasses made the cut?

Glamour Bard
Forge Cleric
Dreams Druid
Cavalier, Samurai, Arcane Archer Fighters
Horizon Walker, Monster Slayer Rangers
Inquisitive Rogue
Shadow, Divine Soul Sorcerer
Celestial Warlock

Confirmed Subclasses. If we include the Hascon Previews, Scout, and the Revised UAs that have been released we get this list:

Ancestral Guardian Barbarian
Glamour, Swords Bards
Forge Cleric
Dreams, Sheppard Druids
Cavalier, Samurai, Arcane Archer Fighters
Kensai, Drunken Master Monks
Conquest, Redemption Paladins
Horizon Walker, Monster Slayer Rangers
Inquisitive, Scout Rogues
Shadow, Divine Soul Sorcerer
Celestial, Hexblade Warlock

That is 21. Maybe throw in Deep Stalker and Theurgist for 23 (both have been in multiple UA so have a good chance being here). That would leave 4 spots: 1 Barbarian, 1 Cleric, 2 wild cards. My guess would be another 2 of the following 3: Bard, Druid or Sorcerer.

So add Whispers to this. Makes the confirmed list:

Glamour, Whispers Bard
Forge Cleric
Dreams Druid
Cavalier, Samurai, Arcane Archer Fighters
Horizon Walker, Monster Slayer Rangers
Inquisitive Rogue
Shadow, Divine Soul Sorcerer
Celestial Warlock

K what you describe is errata, separate document making a correction or revision. Thats errata. Your describing it as being everything the word errata means and then declaring it not errata......

Also "Players can select the original ranger or the revised version, though DMs will always be free to use only one or the other. Both will be legal forD&D Adventurers League play, and players of existing ranger characters will have the option to swap to the revised version."

Jeremy Crawford is the one who said it would not be errata. That basically means they will not just throw out a page or two of additional material and changes, but rather probably put out a new document that includes the entire Ranger class, with all the stuff from the PHB and all the alternate stuff from the playtest. It will all be put together as a single class with all the options needed to make either kind of Ranger. That is what I understand the meaning of seamless the way he used it in his tweet.

And your added quote is a bit old now, from before they changed their minds on how they wanted to present the updated Ranger class, which is what it really is now. Once this is released, there will not be an original and an alternate Ranger class, there will just be one updated Ranger class that includes everything.

Though, if it is Druid, and we get Storm Mage and a Monk from SCAG, that would mean PHB + XGtE gives each Class 5 archetypes minimum.

I really hated the Raven Queen pact, because it's a special pact for just one particular patron and not a wide category of patron type.

don't want to quote everyone, expressing this sentiment but your problem with the concept is just the name, its not a lot of work to refluff it or for the design team to expand the fluff.
I'm a fan of the raven queen character/power since its a death as nature instead of death as creepy evil skeleton summoning thing, as has always been the case in fantasy rpg.

really liked the subclass cause it had a clear bent towards divination spells and exporting and investigation/perception....
was definitely some things that needed to be re-worked, like the double dip familiar thing.

Really would like a shadowfel patron that isn't all about undead in general, something closer to the shadow sorc but has a patron. raven queen was getting there, hexblade will do but, meh I want that tome pact divination feel on my warlock, the raven was a great ability for what I want my lock to be.

Monk already has 3 PHB and 2 minimum in XGE. Bard, Barbarian, Druid, Sorcerer, and Ranger need 3 each this book for everything to be at 5 minimum, which probably won't happen.

Also with Bard and Fighter most likely getting 3, I bet Ranger and Druid are the other 2 receiving 3 subclasses. Deep Stalker and Twilight I would guess.

.

And your literally describing what the word errata means. your saying it won't be errata, it will just be identical to errata in every conceivable way.

Ah, so they do: I keep forgetting about the Elemental Monk for some reason.

We know each will get at least 2, so 4 minimum: Bard looks to get 3, and Storm Mage is probably one of the SCAG reprints, so they will have 5. We shall see.
