Against the Giants 5e PBP (Full)

Good question Vlad. I don't think we designated anyone to track party treasure. Happy to do it though. Based on my rough memory all we have found is a bag of gems the stone giant envoys had in their room and the sword the storm giant gave Bible. I don't think the Rakshasa, fire giants, or hill giants had anything of worth, but we've mostly been doing hit and run, so maybe not looting as much as we should. @FitzTheRuke and others, feel free to chime in if you remember anything else!

I was looking through the thread myself. I see that we had two gourds with potions in them. One was separated out to be 4 healing potions, though couldn't find the type. The other was a potion of cloud giant strength with special rules. I'm going to go through the rest to see if we found anything else. Once I have the list It would be great if you tracked loot going forward.

Will do. I'll do a post here once we have a consolidated list - will be easier to find that way (in addition to keeping a list offline).

Thanks. Does the gold total include the sack of gems worth 400 gp in this post?

And here's the details on Waythe:

GROUP 1 TREASURE LIST
8,424.27 gp worth of treasure
1 gourd (Potion of healing x4)
1 gourd (potion of cloud giant strength - Special Rules)
Potion of Water Breathing x4
Houndsman’s whip
Waythe (Bible)

Thanks. Edited post to reflect that.
You could probably just add those 400gp worth of gems to the cash list.

I tend to say "1234gp worth of coins, gems, and other valuables" And that sort of thing when I give out treasure. Them being gems is just for fluff, really - ALL of the 8424.27gp that Group 1 is carrying is made up of a wide variety of stuff. Silver plates, gold-plated candelabra, coins minted in various places over various eras with various weights & materials - even the actual gold pieces aren't necessarily worth exactly a gold piece. Some might be heavier or lighter than the current currency, or shaped funny, or with shaved-off bits. Same goes for the silver, copper, and a few platinum pieces that are probably in there too.

It's my opinion (as you can see) that money is a lot more complicated than the standard rules suggest, and therefore can also be simpler! You can engage with it as much or as little as you like. You can keep track of each coin, and I'll happily describe them to you, all the way to it's simply "worth" 8424.27gp.

Oh, Group 2 - the same goes for your Agate Sky Coins - they're just money, though I might have a shopkeeper look at you funny about them!

That's how I like it, at any rate. YMMV.
