The site (GenerationX Comics in Bedford) is in the middle of the D/FW metroplex, not far from DFW International Airport. I was there last week and there's plenty of game playing room!

6 should be adequate. I'll take as many as two alternates. I won't run more than 8.

I'll be there! I've already aranged to have the day off from work.

I'd like to play in Bento's 1500s game, if you don't mind showing me the ropes. I've been playing D&D for 5 years, but not True D20.

If there is a mad rush of people comming to sign up for games between now and the 21st, I would not mind running something. Either in the second time slot at the same time as der_kluge or in a hitherto unannounced 3rd time slot.

If there arn't more people turning up, then maybe I'll join the hunt for the green dragon. Whatever, I'm flexible.

My buddy is thinking spellcaster, but was wondering about other options.

FWIW, I also have a Dwarf Ftr/Rgr TWF Dire Pick wielder that I am considering as a PC- I'll bring both him and the Human Spear fighter. I'll use one and will have the other available as a pregen if someone needs one.

I'd like to play in Bento's 1500s game, if you don't mind showing me the ropes. I've been playing D&D for 5 years, but not True D20.

One of the purposes of my game is to give people an opportunity to play True20 for the first time. Most of the rules follow D20, so I don't think it will be too much of a stretch for you if you've been playing D&D! The one hiccup for most folks is True20 doesn't use HPs. Here's a short cut to a pdf file that goes over how combat and damage is done if you want to read ahead. If you don't we'll cover it quickly in the game!

Throw out some of your ideas for a four hour one-shot! There won't be a third time slot because GenerationX closes at 8pm. We'll be running con-current games during the two slots to give participants a choice in games.

Thanks for the pdf. I'll give it a read over in the next day or two here.

If I end up running something in the second time slot, it will be one of two things (reader's choice):

1.) A group of time traveling Victorian gentlemen of fortune have gone to the last days of the Roman Republic in order to prevent the assassination of Julius Ceaser. Why? Because they don't think it's fair that Brutus gets the blaime for the act. Steampunk+Sword & Sandles+pulp= commedy gold, or at least it was that way in my head. D20 Past (which is basically d20 modern with 20 pages of alternate rules).

2.) A young Lordling and his loyal band of adventuring comrads have come to his dying father's side. Unfortunatly, not only is dear old dad, about to become dear old deacased dad, the adventurers arrived not even a full day in advance of a horde of orcs who intend to take the land when the lord dies. The PCs must hold the castle until help arrives. That's of course assuming the messanger got through. What do you mean you didn't send a messenger? I do hope you have something clever up your sleeves. D&D, core only, no psionics.

In either case, players would be level 6th, and I would make pre-gens. If there is a character concept that you are particularly keen to try, then by all means let me know and I'll do my best to accomidate you. Otherwise, you take what I hand you.
