Items
Mord gathered items from the others and set to work, identifying them with a magic ritual. He had three of the Bhaalite Idols, a sword that Aquaria had found at the bottom of the Upper Lake, and even the Lizardman Guldred, curious about the weapon he had nearly lost his life fighting over, put forward the trident that he called "the Warfork". He also had the Uvarenni Artefacts and a piece of green chrystal (given to him by SnorLoska).
Bhaalite Idols Four high priests of Bhaal created four idols, each representing an aspect of murder. The Bhaalites’ central treasure vault was protected with overlapping magical fields attuned to the idols. When placed on the correct pedestal, they remove the wards that are tied to each idol's unique nature. Though seemingly delicate, the idols cannot be harmed by any known means. Revealed by blood, each idol has its name on its base in old Common, and a blood-red rune on its underside. Once per day in a ten-minute ritual, a creature can trace the rune on an idol, and doing so causes it to appear upon the tracer’s forehead. That person can then use the magic of the idol. The rune and its magic endure until the creature dies or another creature traces the same idol’s rune.
Murder Through Another’s Hands (This idol shows a priest of Bhaal manipulating a humanoid puppet and was found in Silakul's chest) While the rune-bearer can see an ally, the bearer has resistance to all damage. Damage not taken as a result of this resistance is instead inflicted upon a random ally the rune bearer can see.
Poison Most Foul: (This idol depicts a hooded and cloaked assassin holding a dagger with a poisoned blade and was found at the bottom of the Hydra's pool) Anytime the rune-bearer hits with a weapon attack, the target takes 1d6 extra poison damage.
Foe Rendered Harmless: (This idol is a warrior wearing plate armour marked with demonic inscriptions and was found in the offering made by Urbone, Chief of the Troglodytes.) Up to three times a day, as an action each time, the rune-bearer can cast
hold person.
Lightblade a +1 rapier with the added property: when you run your hand along the
fuller ("blood groove") you can create a light from no light to the light of a candle (5-foot-space) to the light of a lantern (60-foot radius), and whatever brightness you desire in-between.
Warfork a +2 trident that propels the wielder through the water, granting a 30-foot swim speed (or +10 feet to an existing swim speed)
Uvarenni Relics these ancient elven relics were once magical, but their magic has faded over time.
Crystalline Growths: This is a fusion of local elemental earth magics and the fuel that once powered the Uvarenni Skyship. Any creature that makes a magical attack using a crystal as a focus gains advantage on that attack. The crystal is then consumed.
