It took them an hour to walk to the ruins from the second oasis (where the horses were left). The PC's arrived at the ruin only a few hours after dawn. (Aureus prepared a meal before they left.) I would say it took less than hour to deal with encountering both the giant snake and Shouzas, and to explore the courtyard. It would probably have been over a hour for them to get the iron doors open. I will say about 2 to 2-1/2 hours in total.

Once inside the room, it becomes more about how long it takes for conversation, Aureus' searches, and the initial look through the shelf of books and taking stock of the various magic items. Aureus takes an hour to study the first chest. She takes 5 minutes to get it open.

It takes her and Quinn several minutes to pull the other chest out from the wall. She spends two hours examining the second chest. It takes her another half and hour to open it.

Let's say dawn was at 5 a.m.

2 hours (120 mins.) + 2-1/2 hours (150 mins.) + 1 hour (60 mins.) + 5 mins. + 2 hours (120 mins) + 30 mins. = 485 mins. (at minimum)

485 / 60 = 8.08 hours

So, it is just after 1 p.m. before the PCs decide to rest and/or explore the rest of the ruins. Phar will have to rest to be able to identify the magic items. And, he needs 100 gp pearls. You're not likely to find any of those in the desert. Since Phar can identify potions with successful DC 25 Spellcraft checks, I've already listed the potions. Phar would just have to Take 10 for each one.

However, I've already mentioned on the Discord that Dustchaser's shield is a +1 heavy darkwood shield. (I wanted to update Quinn for SDWjr ahead of time.) So, we'll say there was a single 100 gp pearl buried under all the coins in the oak chest. :sneaky:

If you have them rest first, it will be just past 9 pm. If you want them to rest again at some point, they will have to wait at least 12 hours. I don't go for the idea that you can rest only once in a 24 hour period. That is very unrealistic.

Phar could try to identify the basic properties of a magic item with a successful Spellcraft check vs. the Epic DC 50 + spell level. With a Spellcraft bonus of +24, it isn't completely impossible for him IF @TaranTheWanderer rolls a Natural 20. (Natural 20 = 30 + 25 = 55.)

EDIT: He could identify items that have faint auras, at least. That would include the silvered glaive, and the wand that was in the chest.

And Maur can aid and use spells to boost, but that way we absolutly have to rest.
Explore first, as I said earlier. We can rest after being hurt somewhat:D
