Oh yeah! Them spell slots are gonna be mighty precious! Oh well.

Given that we are in a fairly desperate situation and need to get behind the gates quickly, I'd say it was a good use! Unused spell slots aren't much use when you're dead.

Don't think I wasn't briefly tempted to use my teleport to go behind the zombies and then get to the gates...

I think most of the monster in 2024 have been buffed but, from what I can tell their hp have always been this many.

Good use of smite! Which brings up a question...

Yeah, it is a one night stand...but you will be leveling as we go so you'll get more slots.

Not that I would ever look at the monster manual while playing (looks sidelong at the book sitting near the desk), but I think 5e 2024 zombies have around 15 hp. Nevertheless, I always enjoy a good challenge - keeps things exciting!

It turns out I was looking at the legacy zombies which have more hp than 2024. Looks like these two were 20th level fighters before they became zombies. That's why they're tougher

@Neurotic to be clear: the man you saved was unconscious and definitely can’t move on his own. He’s only alive because you succeeded a medicine check. (You specifically said you were looking for unconscious people.) if you leave him, he will die. Is that what you are doing or did you just miss my posts IC and OOC?

Make a strength with appropriate skill check to move the unconscious man. DC 13. If you fail, you cannot move him with out him destabilizing. If you fail by 5, you can't move him this turn but you can try again next turn but undead will close on you and you will get slightly separated from the group.

If you choose to try to save him, you can’t attack.
