D&D 5E (2014) (OOC) Vault of the Dracolich 5E (Full)

I'll heal Bob and then we can get going. Edit: No healing for now.

Also, I'm not proficient in Survival but I have highest Wis at +4. Bob comes in at +3 for Survival, Devan at +1 and Pyrus at +2.
I will roll for Survival unless someone objects.

I'll make the rolls in the Dispensable thread.

I think that anyone (in the Dispensables team) that makes an out-of-combat ability check roll, can role-play that I cast Guidance. That way we can save time and not ask for it before a roll. Sounds good?
Guidance gives an additional 1d4 to the ability check roll.

I'm fine with that for when a single character does a specific task, that Sesto knows they are about to try. When everyone is doing something at the same time, Sesto himself probably uses it, but not the others.

Speaking of that, I will roll for the Guidance for Bob when leading you up the trail: [roll0]

So he got a 14 Nature Check. Good enough to get you up there. (see the IC thread!)

By the way, does anyone know the trick of getting it to not post attachments twice? I find it annoying.
I have worked out what you need to do to avoid double attachments. The pitfall is that you click on the "Insert Inline" button in the "Manage Attachment" window. The images get nicely inserted inline, which is what you want, but they also get attached to the end of the post. (I think this only happens if you preview your post). To fix this, you will need to go back into the "Go Advanced" edit window and then "Manage Attachment". Delete the file in lower half of the window by clicking on the small x in the file icon's top right corner (appears when you hover the mouse over the icon).
Try it and see if it works for you too.

I've never previewed my posts, so that part you got wrong, but the rest worked! Clicking that x makes it look like it's going to delete the whole thing, but it only deletes the extra asset bit. Thanks!

@tglassy If your Mystics need long rests after only one encounter each (I am not saying that you think they do), then that would explain why they seem so powerful!

Essentially, you are "Alpha Striking" - using all your guns, and leaving yourself spent. While I don't want to "punish" you for it, resource management is part of the game after all, and it's not easy to get a long rest in this adventure. (In fact, the Game Day version specifically says that there aren't any allowed at all - I'm significantly more "generous" than that, but still, you're not going to Long Rest after a single encounter.) In fact, I'm surprised so many of you are keen on a short rest so early.

Anyway, I'm sure you're pretty aware of this and I get the impression that you were purposefully overusing the Mystic's abilities to "kick the tires" a bit on them and see how they feel.
I hope it doesn't seem like I'm singling you out when/if this turns out to have been a bit of a bad idea. I consider it a DM's job to make sure everyone's having fun, so let me know if it frustrates you (running out of points) but I expect you will be running pretty dry before that rest can be achieved.

Oh I know. I've been pushing their limits a bit. They won't be useless after their points are up, they'll still have their talents, and Auraia and Terrus will still have their fighting ability, so I'm not too worried about it.

However, I pretty much had to pull out all the stops on that decapus, because it was pretty much just the two of them for two rounds. Just saying. Terrus and Pyrus still have quite a bit. Terrus a little less than Pyrus, but still.

If they run out, I'll deal, and I'll figure out what to do from there. Like I said, they won't be helpless. Just powered down a bit.
