CB's The Sunless Citadel v3.5

Boddynock

First Post
Elyan hushes the kobold.

[sblock=Draconic]Quiet, Meepo! We know. Quiet, or they'll hear you.[/sblock]
To the others he says, "Come on, we need to regroup further back - if they hear us and swarm us in this space, it will not go well for us. Come on!"

Grotzkoshter, Meepo, Kaeleen, Rogue, Elyan, and Karl move to the far end of the pillared hall, away from the double doors through which the rumblings of a pack of gutteral voices could be heard. With Rogue guarding their position, the four scheme their next move while Meepo timidly looks around, his face betraying a mixture of fear and curiosity.

Kaeleen : Elven Cleric of Corellon Larethian

Kaeleen keeps her voice down so it won't echo through the hall. "We could lay in wait where we encountered the goblins. There might be a shift change or someone going into that room for other reasons. At any rate I doubt it would be as many as attacking them with a frontal assult. We might have a better possibility of surprising them as well. Thoughts?

Grotzkoshter

Yeah, let's find the little wyrm and done with it, and if we can take some gobbos with us, it's for the better.
He turns to the door.
We should go that way, no sounds from there

Grotz crosses over to the door. Made of wood, the door has an actual handle on it and when Grotz gives it a try, the door is apparently unlocked and is not barred from the inside, for it opens into a 20 foot square room with an identical door on the opposite wall. The north and south walls of the room are stacked halfway to the 10 foot ceiling with ill-made oak barrels, the iron bands of which are rusted through to the point of near disintegration. Boxes and crates are likewise stacked in a somewhat organized fashion in this room. A clear path allows easy access between the two doors. Some of the barrels are labeled in a foreign tongue unknown to any of the party.

Something shiny lying right smack in the middle of the floor catches Grotzkoshter's attention. When he bends over in the dark to see what it is, he finds a plain gold ring with the same crest engraved on it as the insignia he saw hanging from the Hucrele family manor back in Oakhurst.

Grotzkoshter

Hey, look at that shiny.
The big warrior pickup the ring and show it to the others.
I found a ring, similar to the description lady Hucrele gave us … Now I wonder where is the finger that supposes to wear it … and the body.
Grotz sniff the air and begin to open crates, just to check that it doesn't hold human meat.

Grotzkoshter picks up the ring and as soon as he does, he feels a wave of warm energy wash over him. Everyone standing within ten feet of Grotz feels as if they've just had a draught of bubbling cider; a delightful sensation of fizzing tickles at the fingertips and toes.

The first barrel that Grotz opens contains brackish water. A crate next to the barrel seems to hold rancid jerky of some sort of undiscernable variety of meat. A second crate contains something that looks to be useful--12 pints of oil, neatly laid inside the crate, rest nestled on a bed of shredded wood chips. Encouraged, Grotz opens a second barrel, a smaller one, and finds that the inside of the pitch-lined barrel contains some sort of malodorous grey pudding.
