I was just a bit out if it with the tail end of my cold, and the whole "X and Y run into a burning buiding while Z tries to get the crowd to build a human pyramid so we can rescue someone on the fourth floor of a burnign building"

And poor Jim's going "dur? I cast magic missile." "your not even a mage, doofus!" "OH.. yeah.. right... sorry." *L*

LOL. I hear you. But it just conveyed well the crazed mad panic of a town in chaos! I'm sure it was all part of pneumatic's plan.

My "plan"? I guess you could say that. I am trying to portray the mess and people running everywhere, so I guess I can take some credit. In all honesty, running the game on the message boards seems to have made it more difficult for the party to coordinate actions. And I didn't realize how much more difficult it would be coordinate people taking different actions that take different numbers of rounds. If it were a meatspace game, it would have been easier to run the people on the ground for multiple rounds while Hollister and Korrin were running up the steps in the buildings.

If people are having trouble coordinating or figuring out what's going on, use this thread for OOC talk. In retrospect, some sort of map plus formal initiative might have helped, but I didn't want the encounter to take too long in real time.

Also, xp is coming. I'll post it in this thread.

Xp!

Every gets 500xp.

I know this may be a little slow compared to other pbp games. The EL of all the fights are basically fixed, since I'm running from a published mod, so I don't want to stray too far from standard xp awards.

Its all good. I have to use my own XP system in my games to keep the PCs from leveling too quickly.

For the most part, I just go "Hey everbody, level time!" when I feel they deserve/need to level up.
I was actually going to do that, at least until anyone started spending xp, but then I realized that I would have to calculate xp to get a rough idea when the adventures expected you to level. At that point I figured I'd just to regular xp.
