Umbran, if Joshua can't make it, that currently leaves 7 people for your game. Is that too many?
Sorry to have been out of touch for a few days. There's a couple of questions stacked up that I should answer. Let me tackle them in order...
Godlike is a game of super-powered people in WWII. The game can be played in a number of different styles and power levels.
The scenario I've in mind has a significant amount of action (it is set in WWII, after all). However, it's not Superman or Spiderman - with huge amounts of power and heroes that never seem to be bothered by mundane bullets. This will be somewhat more gritty - the characters have abilities beyond those of normal men, but a bullet will still kill them. Character demise is a very real possibility. Consider yourself warned.
I'll be using the free pdf official
Godlike Quick-Play Rules. These rules are fully-functional, but simple enough for me to explain in a reasonable pre-game briefing. Don't worry about finding the full rulebook, as I won't be referring to it. For budgetary reasons, I don't even own a copy.
If you peruse the website above, you'll also find a link to the introductory mission "The Glazier". Please resist the temptation to read it, as it'll really spoil the fun.
"The Glazier" is designed for a maximum of six players and one GM. For those who are stuck saying, "I want to play
Godlike, but I also want to play in Doc's Feng Shui game..." or the like, fear not. The amount of torque required to twist my arm to get me to run it again would roughly be that produced by putting one chocolate chip cookie in my hand

However, if we find that we really need something that'll accomodate more players in a run, perhaps we need to consider a different game.
