As a card-carrying member of the Sammo Hung Fan Club- and I really, really am- I would LOVE that concept.

Saturday the 11th works very well for Mr. & Mrs. Silver Moon (especially since our weekly group plays on Sundays). Do we have a start time?

Saturday the 11th is the day of choice for us as well.

Are we starting in the afternoon or evening?

Or should we just show up the night before with our sleeping bags and get an early start the next morning?

;)

I was thinking of starting around 3, if no one's got a problem with that. That'll give a good chunk of the day, with plenty of time for pizza-eating and the ever-present threat of a game running long.

Is there a viewing section available? My significant other is from the area and I’m sure I could use the excuse of seeing old friends to make the trip.
Of course seeing the fevered atmosphere from this group may be the inspiration needed to get another gaming session going at home.

Saturday is marginally better than Sunday for me. As for time, the earlier the better. My SO works Saturday morning, so... Any chance of starting in the morning and playing through the afternoon?

PS: Wulf, what sort of system are you planning for the League? D20 Modern?

3PM works well for us.

Okay are there any openings left for these games. I was tossing around the idea of going to an out of state Game day and I figure one in Boston wouldn't be too bad.

Umbran, if Joshua can't make it, that currently leaves 7 people for your game. Is that too many?

Sorry to have been out of touch for a few days. There's a couple of questions stacked up that I should answer. Let me tackle them in order...

Godlike is a game of super-powered people in WWII. The game can be played in a number of different styles and power levels.

The scenario I've in mind has a significant amount of action (it is set in WWII, after all). However, it's not Superman or Spiderman - with huge amounts of power and heroes that never seem to be bothered by mundane bullets. This will be somewhat more gritty - the characters have abilities beyond those of normal men, but a bullet will still kill them. Character demise is a very real possibility. Consider yourself warned.

I'll be using the free pdf official Godlike Quick-Play Rules. These rules are fully-functional, but simple enough for me to explain in a reasonable pre-game briefing. Don't worry about finding the full rulebook, as I won't be referring to it. For budgetary reasons, I don't even own a copy. :(

If you peruse the website above, you'll also find a link to the introductory mission "The Glazier". Please resist the temptation to read it, as it'll really spoil the fun.

"The Glazier" is designed for a maximum of six players and one GM. For those who are stuck saying, "I want to play Godlike, but I also want to play in Doc's Feng Shui game..." or the like, fear not. The amount of torque required to twist my arm to get me to run it again would roughly be that produced by putting one chocolate chip cookie in my hand :) However, if we find that we really need something that'll accomodate more players in a run, perhaps we need to consider a different game.
