It takes a bit less time than the party expected, but several minutes still pass before the approach of the Da'Roneh war party.

OOC: Saemund will move to X13 and prepare a Tin Ingot in order to induce demtentia in whichever of the approaching party it seems the most convenient and advantageous to do so. He will ready his axe in case it become necessary to defend himself.

This can dampen an area of illumination equal to a sphere with a radius of up to 10 strides, though the effect can be created at a distance measured in paces. Lesser applications of this effect can be utilized for aspects of role-play, such as a small dancing shadow that imitates a haunt or real shadow. This cannot be used to generate an absence of light. It will only darken natural light by 1 category so that full sun can be made to appear shaded, shaded light to look like dust, dusk to full night. If used in an area that is already dark it will negate night vision. The duration of the darkness is equal to 1 minute per cumulative Will ability.

As Saemund begins to move, a horrifically painful, high-pitched tone is heard by every Seeker. The exact cause of the sound is unknown, but obviously produced by one of the approaching Da'Roneh even though they are still quite some distance away. Everyone immediately covers his ears, even Turtle.

This active task generates a painful pitch of sound in every creature's ears within the designated area, which can inflict stunning damage (loss of Mind) and possible physical harm (loss of Body). If Mind is reduced below 1 the target is rendered unconscious. Further damage causes the loss of Body. If Body is reduces below 1, the target is incapacitated. Further damage causes the loss of Essence. If Essence is reduced below 1, the target dies. The area of effect can be designated to only affect 1 target or as large as a sphere with a radius of 10 strides.

GM: Almost everyone is dazed by the sonic blast. All the small birds and rodents in the area are completely stunned, many of which fall from the trees, including Feroz, who rights himself, having only been dazed. Merin is both able to resist the effect. The ringing in everyone else's ears is still a nuisance, making thoughts difficult to formulate.

They hope to convince the Da'Roneh that their sonic blast incapacitated everyone and lure them closer so that the rest of the party can regroup and attack.

As discretely as possible San-Bolo will clasp hands and attempt to Soothe each other.

GM: As Sannit and Bolo fall, the area around them continues to be enshrouded, as the effect has already been generated.

Sheldon and Indigo, thinking along completely different lines, want to make sure that another area of effect manipulation of Way cannot be centered to affect all the Seekers simultaneously. They both move deliberately and as quickly as possible toward the lake, also hoping to get a good view of the enemy.
GM: Sheldon's image is still blurred making it difficult to focus on him even as he moves.

Having had the same thoughts as Sheldon and Indigo, both will attempt to remain hidden. Merin, realizing that the Sonic attack was produced by Mechanical Way, formulates a plan; Merin will attempt to use their own tactic against them.
