Sannit scrambles to his feet and rushes to stand between Sheldon and the nearby tree. When he sees the Da'Roneh in front of them he will manipulate Way to (steal the self-awareness) of his opponent.
OOC: For simplicity, the Academic task and the Theologic task that take Persona from an opponent will both now use the same name of Befriend.

Sannit forsakes his original plan of feigning greater injury, not only because other party members are moving, because the enemy is still too far away for the tactic to be fully appreciated. Moving toward Sheldon's direction, Sannit sees one of the younger Da'Roneh and reaches out with his left hand, spinning the fingers and closing his fist, like squeezing the image of the distant enemy. The Way lines move with Sannit's manipulation interfering with those of the Da'Roneh's consciousness and dissolving an ingot of tin to enhance the manipulation.

... Saemund will quietly move through the trees, in a general easterly direction, with axe in hand. He will cease motion when he sees the first Da'Roneh. He will attempt to manipulate them into having a friendly disposition toward the party.

Saemund sees the distant pulse of light and hears the distant tone and moves in that general direction knowing that one more of the Seekers have located the enemy. Also, he feels more than sees Indigo run by him at full speed, heading for a younger Da'Roneh that had begun to close from his original formation. Indigo cuts the enemy down, even as Saemund moves farther East looking for the main line. He finds more of the Da'Roneh who were moving from the formation at a slower pace. He chooses one to interfere with the Way lines of the Da'Roneh's consciousness, like Sannit, dissolving an ingot of tin to enhance the manipulation.

Vadin realized that a defensive position is not suiting him well and decides to go on the offensive. He will quickly rush and attack the nearest Da'Roneh.
Vadin, being some distance from the enemy formation, begins to run through the trees toward what should be the enemies' right flank. As he moves, out of sight of most of the party, two of the Da'Roneh at the back of the formation clap their hands together but the sound produced is nothing that would naturally occur. Two different tones are sounded. It is obvious to the Seekers that the Da'Roneh have an advanced development of tonal communication. It is obviously pre-arranged and used to communicate at a much farther distance than voice would allow.

Vadin is farther inland and uphill from the lake, moving laterally before attempting to descend when the tone is heard. Only about 3 seconds have passed when, previously unknown the to Seekers, a second formation of Da'Roneh is rapidly moving toward the original hidden location of the Seekers. Vadin sees this as he was preparing to turn and diverts toward the new group. Sword and knife already in hand he focuses on one of those in the middle, who seems more formidable than those in the front. The new formation makes no noise as it travels. It is happenstance that Vadin comes upon them.

There are three distinct classes of Da'Roneh in the battle. The least clothed are covered by a thick fabric skirt, arm, and shin guards, and all appear to be late adolescents or young adults. The next group all has the addition of a wide, snakeskin belt, termed as Headhunters. It is one of these that Vadin targets. The leader of each formation is a bit older and has the addition of a snakeskin mantle. This second Blighter was not yet expecting to contact one of the Seekers so soon and does not have an assault prepared.

The sheer speed with which Vadin is approaching causes some falter in the younger Da'Roneh's formation.

Vadin swings his word with precision but the Headhunter manages to get an arm in the way, protecting his body but taking damage to the arm. He then generates a loud thump by pumping his right arm rather than swinging his knife. Vadin takes no harm from the sound as he finishes his attack with his knife cutting through the jute skirt to again cause harm.

Seeing Sannit, but failing to notice Merin, the four Da'Roneh in the lead of the new formation run toward Sannit, the path will take them near Merin. Two of the Headhunters and the Blighter move away from Vadin's swinging blades. The next closest Headhunter takes a step back tries to repulse Vadin, who is thrown backward a distance of 3 strides. Vadin, however, has enough balance skill that he does not loose his footing despite the movement.

Sheldon, as he prepares to pulse another flash of light, suddenly realizes there is an advantage to sound, as the light is useless if pulsed from behind the visual direction of a target. Even though the four Headhunters are moving toward him and Saemund, he decides that the Blighter is the greatest threat, having the ability to harm multiple opponents, so he flashes a light directly at him. The Blighter reflexively covers his eyes, as he screams, but it is too late. The flash is so painful and bright that it has blinded him, causing him to lose consciousness from the pain.

Saemund continues to pull to ingots from his pouch and use them to cause (the loss of self-awareness) in the enemy. As he sees the headhunters approaching, he moves closer to Sheldon so that if it comes to it, he can rationalize killing them as defending Sheldon.

Bolo will walk up and away (in map terms) from Sheldon and Sannit with an arrow nocked on her bow. If she has a good shot on a Da'Roneh she will take it. If it makes more sense to use Way she will use Befriend.

Being physically unable to see exactly where the enemies are located due to the distance and foliage, Merin trusts to his paranormal senses to find his desired target. Being that his ability to manipulate Way is much greater than his ability to analyze it, Merin misidentifies his most powerful target and feels that one of the Headhunters that have moved in on Vadin is it. Though not who he thought he was targeting the new target should benefit Vadin, as he is in the process of being overwhelmed.
