There are 3 Mhytres harassing Turtle. They are poking at him with their mining wedges. They are wanting to torment the animal, not kill him out right.

All 3 Mhytres poke Turtle with their iron wedges causing him significant pain.

GM: Turtle attempts to trip the one to his right.

Defend: 48 + 28 + 50 + 82 = 208

The Mhytre has no difficulty avoiding being hit, as he continues to torment the bear.

The Mhytre to Vadin's right moves in to finish him off with a downward swing of his hammer.

GM: Merin chooses that Mhytre and causes the air around him to rapidly expand, creating a very loud clap, painfully loud to the target inside the area.

This causes a rapid expansion of air creating a loud thump in the target's ear which can inflict stunning damage (loss of Mind) and possible physical harm (loss of Body).
Merin: 62 + 73 = 135

Resist Hammer:
  • Conditioning (Commercial Task) + Bolster (Collegiate Task) + d100
Mhytre: 33 + 0 + 81 = 114
Effectiveness: 135 - 114 = 21
Damage: 21% * 17 = 4
Mind: 10 - 4 = 6: dazed

Though the clap of air does not cause significant harm, it does momentarily halt the Mhytre from his intended action.

As Tor readies his sword and shield, the Mhytre in front of him moves in more quickly, punching his hammer at Tor's chest.

Defend: Konokoro + Defensiveness + Rank = 41 + 32 + 53 = 126
Effectiveness: 238 - 126 = 112
Damage: 112% * 20 = 22 - 27 = -5: ineffective

The Mhytre's blow to Tor's chest proves ineffective as Tor shoulder's into his shield to smash into the smaller foe.
OOC: Non-Lethal Attack: 47 + 45 + 60 + 83 = 235
Defend: 48 + 28 + 50 + 87 = 213
Effectiveness: 235 - 213 = 22
Damage: 22% * 19 = 4
Mind: 10 - 4 = 6: dazed

Tor's shield bash is only slightly more effective than the Mhytre's hammer blow.

Day 122: Provoked Reactions, Part 8

GM: Seeing the situation and the spread placement of the Mhytres, Sheldon deems Turtle and Bolo to be in the greatest predicament. He targets one of the Mhytres in front of Turtle hoping to manipulate Way to wipe the identity from him as he runs toward their direction.
OOC: Dementia:

Effectiveness:
  • Essence + Cohesion + Evocation +
  • Mind + Knowledge + Persona + Wisdom + Psyche +
  • Collegiate + Theologic = d100
This causes the loss of Persona and Mind in the intended target. If a target's Persona is reduced below 1, it is stupefied and can perform no conscious tasks. The target may be led like a puppet, even to their own doom.
Sheldon: 66 + 82 = 148

OOC: Resist Dementia:
  • Skepticism (Commercial Task) + Tranquility (Collegiate Task) + d100
Mhytre: 30 + 55 + 42 = 127
Effectiveness: 148 - 127 = 21
Damage: 21% * 16 = 3
Persona: 10 - 3 = 7

Sheldon's attempt proves less than effective, though he still closes toward Bolo and Turtle.

GM: Indigo draws her steel sabers as she charges toward the nearest Mhytre pulling on the burro, simultaneously commanding the burro, verbally to run forward.
OOC: Reaction: 196 - 80 = 116

The Mhytre, seeing her charge, releases the burro to draw his hammer.
OOC: Reaction: 186 - 80 = 106

OOC: Lethal Attack: 53 + 64 + 55 + 96 = 268
Defend: 48 + 28 + 50 = 126
Effectiveness: 268 - 126 = 142
Damage: 142 * 22 = 31 - 8(soak) = 23
Body: 10 - 23 = -13: incapacitated
Mind: 10 - 13 = -3: unconscious
Essence: 10 - 3 = 7: still alive

Indigo's small sword slides between the metal plates cutting through the leather and into the Mhytre's abdomen. An instant later, the young burro bolts forward in the same direction it is being pulled, causing the other Mhytre to stumble due to the sudden lack of pressure, allowing the burro to pull free.

Feroz looks down from his flight path and sees turtle in trouble...so, he says to himself, I must exit the heavens to assist the land bound, large four legged one...I have grown slightly fond of him...I can't allow those people to harm him...

Feroz is going to dive bomb the three Mhytre who are harrassing Turtle. He will attack the one in the upper left corner it will be a fast attack. He will swoop in slash the Mhytre with his claws and then fly away.

Though concerned about Bolo and Turtle, Sannit knows he cannot lose control. He intends to target the next Mhytre between him and Bolo and thrust his spear tip through his face.

Hearing Turtle's scream of pain, Bolo's anger twists her face into a hideous scowl. She intends to use Way to Acidify as many of the Mhytres as she can.

Still with some fight in him, Turtle intends to rake his claws down the face of one of the Mhytres'. 'At least they're beating on me and not Bolo', he thinks.

GM: With vision far superior to any person's, Feroz sees the imperceptible signal from Saemund giving him free rein. He dives from the sky like a falling boulder, making no cry of alarm. He falls even faster than a boulder as he furls his wings.
OOC: Lethal Attack: Lethality + Rank + d100 = 14 + 17 + 77 = 108

The Mhytre has no idea he is about to be attacked and, therefor, can formulate no defense.
OOC: Damage: 108% * 4 = 4
Body: 10 - 4 = 6: hurt

Feroz swoops by, making a nasty gash upon the Mhytre's face as he unfurls his powerful wings to climb back into the sky.

The Mhytre having 50% coverage of armor, Sannit accuracy is more than enough to make his head shot.

Sannit's spear punches into the Mhytre's eye socket, killing him instantly.

GM: Ignoring her own predicament Bolo concentrates on the Mhytre to Turtle's left as she rolls up to her feet.

Because of his injury the Mhytre near Bolo, decides to draw his hammer and quit trying to play with his dangerous foe.

Bolo has no need to drop her weapon or her guard to target the other Mhytre. She does not even need to look at him. She can sense his presence.

The Mhytre attacking Bolo is so slowed from his injury that she is able to swing her kukri again before the Mhytre can bring his hammer to bear.

Effectiveness: 254 - 126 = 128
Damage: 128% * 22 = 28 - 8(soak) = 20

Bolo's swing avoids the metal plates, and the steel kukri cuts through the leather covering like it is not their, dropping the formerly smug Mhytre.

The Mhytre in front of Turtle is suddenly distracted by the vicious attack of a hawk plummeting from the sky. The one to his left falls to ground from some unseen force. The one to his right stabs at him.
OOC: Lethal Attack: 53 + 49 + 52 + 67 = 221
Defend: 20 + 39 = 59
Effectiveness: 221 - 59 = 162
Damage: = 162% * 12 = 19 - 14(soak) = 5
Body: 4 - 5 = -1: incapacitated
Mind: 10 - 1 = 9: conscious

Before he can react, Turtle is stabbed, again, with a spike. He falls to the ground with a moan.
