Sighing in frustration when Elyan loudly wakes with a rumble, Kaeleen quickly crosses over to the bard a second time and whispers in Elyan's ear. "Quiet. Noise behind the stone door in the middle of the hall."
I told you, it was a good idea to rest in the lizard's den.
The big warrior stands up and moans, his wounds are far more serious then he thought. we should leave if we want to see day light again, I can't handle too much gobbos at once.
Karl awakens, silent as usual, listening quietly to Kaeleen's warnings and Grotzkoshter's grumblings. He rises to his feet, and pads over to the door. He taps the elf on her shoulder, gesturing for her to tend to the warrior, or else silence will never come.
He listens himself at the door, trying to determine if it is safe for the elf's castings.
Elyan shakes his head to clear the muzziness of not enough sleep, then quietly stands and moves away from his blankets. Drawing his rapier in his right hand, and ruffling Rogue's ears when the dog whines with his left, he stands awaiting further developments.
Listening at the door, Karl hears nothing for a long few seconds, but then a loud clatter echoes from behind the door as if someone has dropped a metal object on a stone floor. After that, things are quiet again, followed at length by the sounds of the object being drug across the floor. A bowl or a pot, perhaps. Whoever is doing the dragging seems to be hauling the metal bowl away from Karl's door.
Karl quirks one eyebrow dramatically as he tries to interpret the strange sounds from the other side of the door. Could be dangerous, could be a lone goblin fixing breakfast. . .
Best to be prepared for whatever it is. He makes his way back over to Grotz and Kaeleen, shrugging as he goes. He speaks quietly as he leans in.
"Something, best to be ready."
He motions for Kaeleen to go ahead with Grotz. If she does attract attention, at least the warrior will be up to dealing with it.
[sblock=Kaeleen]The sounds were heard during Kaeleen's first hour of watch, but we've been playing that it takes casters only a flat 15 minutes to prepare or pray for spells in this game. So, happily, yes, she's had time to prep. This assumes that she preps in the morning, however. If you have her prepping another time of day, well... . She could've prepped before sleeping, which would also be fine. I'll leave it up to you to determine which healing spell she pours into Grotz.[/sblock]
Checking Grotzkoshter, Kaeleen notes that the burly half-orc has a bit more pallor than he did yesterday. Some of his wounds have crusted over during the course of the night, but others are still raw and open. Those that formed a thin scab will probably scar if Corellon's healing grace pours into the newly knitted flesh at her touch. Softly intoning her magic and drawing upon Corellon Larethian's grace, Kaeleen touches delicate fingertips to the worst of Grotz's wounds.
Cure light or cure minor(s)?
Listening again at the door, Karl discerns the sound of fabric being torn. A second something, heavy by the sound of it, is quietly being drug across the floor.
