CB's The Sunless Citadel v3.5

Sensing Kiaphas' nearness, Elyan reaches out and clasps his arm.

"Here, my friend - place a hand on my shoulder. Those who dwell in darkness depend on one another."

Grotzkoshter

Stay near and stay behind. Whisper the big warrior.
He leans on the door and listens for a second to reassure himself after Karl's inspection, gripping his axe tightly, he gently pushes the door with his knee and enters the room.

Karl nods to Grotz to go ahead with the door, and steps back. He draws his blade just in case as he waits for his burly comrade to move forward.

Grotz lends his ear to the door but hears nothing. Unlocked, the door opens easily to Grotzkoshter's touch, revealing a dark chamber perhaps 20 feet square and hewn from stone. Ruination and rumble fill most of the chamber floor. The source of the rubble is easy to spot--a giant patch of the ceiling has caved in. Other than the debris, the room appears to be empty.

Kiaphas Liadon Elven Cleric of Corellon Larethian

Kiaphas holds onto Elyan's shoulder, but still tends to stumble in the unfamiliar territory. "What do you see? Anything interesting?"

Grotzkoshter

Rubble.
Replies the big Half-Orc
If we need to retreat and rest, I suggest this room in replace of the squeezed skeleton's former den, there is nothing in here and the air smells fine.
He turns 180 degrees and faces the stone door.
What do you say about this carving?
He says, pointing to the dragonlike fish on the opposite door.

Kiaphas Liadon Elven Cleric of Corellon Larethian

Kiaphas secretly wished he could see in the dark like most of the others. "What are we doing now? Let me know if something interesting happens."

Karl peers past Grotz's shoulder in the room and holds up a hand.

"Hold."

Karl spends just a moment toeing through the rubble in the empty room, checking for any sign of the rooms previous contents. After contenting himself that there is nothing of interest, he nods once to Grotz and begins examining the dragon carved door.

As he examines the door, he nods once to Kiaphas's request. Then realizing the futility of such a gesture he ammends it.

"Right."

Finding nothing but yet another room, albeit in slightly better repair than some of the others the group has seen thus far, Karl quits the empty room in favor of examining the dragonfish door. Unlike the other three doors that face into this hallway, the dragonlike fish that swims in an aquatic setting upon the face of this door is carved of stone. The stone door appears to be securely locked. Karl finds no trace or hint of a trap. The sound of dripping water appears to come squarely from whatever is secreted behind the door, and, from the sound of the echo beyond the door, the room must be cavernous with a large pool of some sort.

Elyan cocks his head at the sound of dripping water.

"Now that sounds like a room worth exploring. Unless I'm much mistaken, someone's run my bath!"
