I said it looks like it opens into a larger chamber that is not rough hewn like this current chamber. But the chamber is completely dark and you have no light to see into that chamber.

The open chest contains a wide variety of clothing. These include barbarian hides, merchant clothes, noble attire (with fake jewelry), and even a city watch uniform. Sold together, the clothing here is worth 10 sp.

"It's like a costume box." said Hiromi, familiar through having performed in plays. "What would it be doing here among a bunch of goblins?"

"Perhaps there is more to this 'hobgoblin' than we thought," says Urik apprehensively. "What about the other chest?"

It is locked.

 

[Kaodi]

"My big meat hands are not really made for fiddly little things like locks," says Urik, idly pushing a bit on the chest with one boot.

Hiromi seemed reluctant to get her lockpicks out again, saying, "Your big hands could smash it!"
