Pathfinder 2E [IC] JM's "Doomsday Dawn" Playtest Party#1 Chapter#1

"Um. I'm not feeling well. Does anyone have a healer's kit that I can dig through for some antivenom? I can administer it myself!" begged Hirmomi, desperately.

"Unfortunately in my duties I have usually had access to supplies from the shrine," says Urik. "I never needed to purchase my own. They can be expensive as well. When we have finished our business here a proper kit will be the first thing on my shopping list, but as for now the only help I can offer is a blessing as the poison runs its course."

Jericho mutters "Sorry no healing kit on me either... but this might help." to Hirmomi as he mixes some chemicals that he had pulled from his bag only moments before. After handing it over he checks the south of the room for that demon think, just in case its extra tricky...

OOC: Using Quick Alchemy and one point of Resonance to create a Elixir of Life, Minor. This requires no roll or money and has the infused trait until the start of my next round. It heals 1d6 hit points.

Actions
1. Quick Alchemy
2. Interact with item to hand to Hirmomi
3. Seek 15ft burst to the south of the room

Hiromi gratefully accepted the blessing and the elixir and drank it down. It tasted funny. She felt a little better, but then her head started spinning.

OOC: I assume the blessing is fluff? [roll0] I didn't use my previous 3rd action because I thought maybe I could use it to take a healer's kit from someone. Such was not the case, and I would have needed my hands, so I hope I can say that I put my sword away with it. So this round: 1: Drink Elixir [roll1] 2: Stow the bottle. I expect the Alchemist might want it back. 3: Slowed 1 (down to 2 Actions)

HP: 15/17 Poisoned 2? Slowed 1.

OOC: She would have had full HP after drinking it, but I think she had to roll the Fort Save first, and she lost 2 more HP on the failure. If the Fort save was at the end of the round, then she would have had full HP and would have made the save!

OOC: No, I meant "blessing" as literally casting heal on you in a later round. Seems Jericho has taken care of that for now though.

Taken aback at Urik swing wildly in his driection, " hey. er...oh!' Realizing there is possibly something near him the Goblin attempts to locate it himself.

OOC:
1>Seek 15' burst on the area Urik is swinging at (E16)
2>Verbal Casting Shield( the +1 circumstance bonus to AC until start of next turn)
3>Concentration on Dancing Lights

<> Reaction trigger- Shield Block: While you have your shield raised, you take damage froma physical attack.

GM: Okay, we have 3 seekers: Jericho, Corwin, and Elkran and unfortunately, none of you were able to see where the demon is. Urik's flashing blades must have been too distracting. :)

Poison is a damage type. Not a condition, so there's no "Poisoned 2". Afflictions have stages but the demon's poison is simple, the first two stages are one round each and only do damage. The third and final stage is damage plus Slow 1. And that's the danger of that poison and the DC 15 makes it ridiculous for a level 1 encounter. (The adventure does say this is a SEVERE encounter.)

RE: Timing: It does not say, but apparently, after the onset time passes (one round in this case), you get a saving throw. Strictly speaking, that round starts before the party goes and ends after the party goes. So, Jericho acts before Hiromi in the initiative so the elixir exists and is handed to her. She drinks it, giving her full HP and thus the +2 circumstance bonus applies when she makes her saving throw during the actions of the demons. So no additional damage, no slow 1, no more poison.

So we need Corwin's actions after failing to "seek" the demon. And then the demon goes.
